Ever since I was a small girl, I’ve loved sports of all kinds and have fond memories of playing bandy with my dad, competing in cross-country skiing; going downhill skiing, roller skating as well as ice skating, and playing volley ball too. My current list of hobbies includes snowboarding, working out at the gym, roller skating, and ice skating. About 10 years ago I decided to look into more leisurely sports and took up Stand Up Paddle boarding, canoeing, yoga and body balance. I find the best way for me to relax is just walking and being one with nature, all year round.
EDUCATION
I began my wellbeing studies alongside my work in the tourism business in 2013. I graduated as a Certified Personal Trainer (EHFA), Wellbeing Coach and Gym Trainer in 2014.
Following this, I studied to be a Body Balance and YOGAFUNC instructor and stepped into the realm of yoga in 2007, when I joined Anne Nuotio’s Astanga Yoga course. I discovered Aerial Yoga in 2016, and fell for it so hard that I went on to study to be an Aerial Yoga instructor. Later on during the same year, I set up an Aerial Yoga studio at the Hotel & Spa Resort Järvisydän, and since then I have been offering regular lessons.
In 2015, I became totally enamoured with the sport of Stand Up Paddling :). Once again, I acted right away by organising teacher training at Järvisydän and purchased 20 SUP boards, so that I could teach Stand Up Paddling to everybody. In 2019, I became officially certified as a SUP Yoga teacher in Sicily (30hr), at the Floripa Yoga Centre & Kitesurf House, and as an RYT200 Multi-Style Yoga Teacher at Ulu Yoga, in Thailand. And in March 2020 as a Yin Yoga teacher (30hr), as well as in June 2020, “Awakening Somatic Intelligence” -anatomy and teaching studies (80hr). In February 2021 I also completed RYT500 yoga teacher training.
